Toosii, in a TikTok video, didn't hold back, calling Syracuse head coach Fran Brown a "bozo" and accusing him of misleading statements. The rapper, whose legal name is Nau'Jour Grainger, claimed that Brown's recent interview didn't align with the truth about his departure from the program.
"They said they were going to give me a chance as a walk-on, but then they added more players, and I wasn't sure if that would happen," Brown stated in the interview. Toosii's response was swift and direct, questioning the coach's integrity.
Toosii's journey to college football began in December 2025 when he received a call from Brown, leading him to commit to Syracuse. With a football background from his high school days at Rolesville in North Carolina, Toosii's transition to the music industry was seamless, releasing mixtapes and signing a deal with South Coast Music Group. However, his desire to return to the gridiron led him to announce his plans to go back to school and play college football in August 2025.
According to 247Sports, Toosii had offers from Syracuse and Sacramento State. The Orange's roster already boasts 16 wide receivers, including seven incoming freshmen, even without Toosii's addition.
