But here's where it gets controversial... Users have the option to choose a specific income amount or set a target duration for their withdrawals. This flexibility is powered by sophisticated modelling from Hymans Robertson, ensuring that savers can make informed decisions about their financial future.
And this is the part most people miss... The tool includes an essential inflation protection feature, with annual reviews linked to the CPI. This ensures that retirement payments maintain their purchasing power, a critical aspect often overlooked.
Members can revisit the tool at any time to make adjustments, reflecting the dynamic nature of retirement. The feature seamlessly integrates into existing online accounts, providing a clear picture of the income potential from accumulated pension savings.
To encourage sustainable withdrawals, the system provides an updated projection of the expected duration of a member's income with each login. It also issues alerts as pension pots decrease, offering a real-time view of remaining funds.
Eligible savers can also access additional support through a dedicated retirement guidance service, offering a combination of digital tools and human assistance.
The feature is always accessible, allowing users to revisit and adjust their plans as their needs evolve.
