Recording Arts graduates and Hall of Fame inductees Juan Peralta and Gary Rizzo have been honored with the 2025 Hamilton Behind the Camera Award for their outstanding work in the Sound category. This prestigious award recognizes their exceptional contributions to the film industry, particularly in the realm of sound design and mixing. Juan and Gary, both esteemed professionals at Skywalker Sound, were acknowledged for their work on the film F1, where they served as Re-recording Mixers. The Sound award was presented to them by F1's director, Joseph Kosinski, at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on November 5. Juan and Gary have dedicated their careers to crafting immersive cinematic experiences through their meticulous work on audio for movies. Juan has contributed to over 100 films, including Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: Ragnarok, while Gary has worked on hundreds of films and earned two Oscars for Best Sound Editing for Dunkirk and Inception.
