Are you ready to pour your heart into a role that’s as vibrant and dynamic as the community it serves? District Bottle Store Alphington is on the hunt for a Bar & Bottle Store Manager, and this isn’t just any job—it’s a chance to become the heartbeat of a high-end boutique venue nestled in the heart of Alphington, VIC 3078. But here’s where it gets exciting: this isn’t just about serving drinks; it’s about crafting experiences, building connections, and leaving your mark on a space that’s as passionate about beverages as you are.
Job Description: Bar & Bottle Store Manager
Join our tight-knit team at District Bottle Store Alphington, where we’re not just selling drinks—we’re curating moments. Our store is a haven for premium wines, spirits, and craft beers, and we’re all about delivering exceptional service to our diverse and chatty local clientele. And this is the part most people miss: we’re not just looking for someone to manage a store; we’re seeking a leader who can infuse their personality into the venue, drive its direction, and help us evolve into a future wine bar.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve with Style: From pouring takeaway drinks to crafting cocktails, you’ll be the face of our venue, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.
- Engage & Educate: Chat with locals, recommend beverages, and share your knowledge to elevate their experience.
- Keep It Spotless: Maintain a clean, organized space where every piece of equipment works like a charm.
- Master the Details: Handle sales transactions, stay updated on beverage trends, and ensure the venue opens and closes seamlessly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven hospitality chops, ideally in a high-end setting. Bar experience? Even better, as we’re transitioning to a wine bar.
- Knowledge: A solid grasp of wines, spirits, and craft beers—WSET or similar qualifications are a plus but not a deal-breaker.
- Personality: A fun, bubbly demeanor that thrives on connecting with people.
- Skills: Multitasking in a fast-paced environment, top-notch customer service, and a keen eye for detail.
- Certifications: RSA certification is a must.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- Flexibility: Permanent full-time or part-time roles with negotiable hours.
- Perks: Staff discounts, ongoing training, and a vibrant, friendly workplace.
- Growth: Real opportunities to advance your career in a fast-growing establishment.
But here’s the controversial part: In an industry often criticized for burnout, we’re committed to fostering a work-life balance that lets you thrive. Think that’s too good to be true? We’d love to prove you wrong.
How to Apply:
If you’re passionate about beverages, love people, and are ready to take on a role that’s as rewarding as it is challenging, we want to hear from you. Send your resume and a cover letter to joel@bwbev.com.au by Friday, 29th November 2024. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, but trust us—this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
