At 34 years old, García's journey in professional baseball began when he debuted with the Detroit Tigers in 2012. He had a standout moment in 2017 while playing for the Chicago White Sox, earning a spot on the American League All-Star team with impressive statistics that included a .330 batting average, 18 home runs, and 80 runs batted in. However, his time with the Marlins was fraught with difficulties, including multiple injuries that hampered his performance.
