World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is pulling out of the Qatar TotalEnergies Open in Doha, citing a change in schedule. This decision comes after a remarkable start to her WTA Tour season, where she secured 11 consecutive wins, including a title in Brisbane. However, her Australian Open campaign ended in disappointment, falling short to Elena Rybakina in the final. Sabalenka's absence from the Doha tournament will see Iga Swiatek take the top seed spot, with Jessica Pegula also withdrawing. Lois Boisson, ranked World No. 34, has also withdrawn due to a leg injury, further impacting the tournament's lineup. World No. 46 Emiliana Arango and World No. 57 Cristina Bucsa will step in to replace Sabalenka and Boisson in the main draw. The Qatar TotalEnergies Open, played on outdoor hard courts, will commence on February 8th and conclude on February 14th.
