Why Adolis Garcia is Essential for the Phillies’ Offensive Success
When it comes to shaping the future of the Philadelphia Phillies’ offense, a surprising choice has been made—one that you may not entirely agree with. The responsibility for their offensive output in 2026 will rest heavily on the shoulders of Adolis Garcia.
As of now, Nick Castellanos remains a member of the Phillies, but his departure seems imminent. This decision comes after an off-season filled with uncertainties regarding the outfield lineup. In a strategic move, Dave Dombrowski and the front office have opted for Brandon Marsh and Otto Kemp in left field, rookie Justin Crawford in center, and Garcia taking on the right field position.

We have a solid understanding of Bohm's capabilities, where Realmuto stands in his career, and that Otto Kemp likely won't be the answer. While these projections may place Garcia second or third on the team in home runs, they still categorize him as a relatively average-to-below-average offensive player for his position.
